BHIC catat untung rendah RM95 juta

KUALA LUMPUR 22 Feb. - Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd. (BHIC) telah mencatatkan untung sebelum cukai yang rendah berjumlah RM94.87 juta bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Disember 2009 daripada RM134.68 juta sebelumnya.

Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd's (BHIC) earnings rose 24.5% to RM18.6 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2009 (4Q09) from RM14.97 million a year earlier on lower operating costs and taxes.

BHIC earnings dampened by higher project costs

PETALING JAYA: Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) posted a net profit of RM18.6mil in the last quarter ended Dec 31, or 24% higher, compared with RM14.97mil made a year ago. Revenue eased to RM163.6mil from RM169.3mil.

Boustead Naval formalises ship deal

Shipbuilder Boustead Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC)’s unit yesterday formalised a RM703.8 million contract to extend the service lives of two Royal Malaysian Navy ships.
The contract, awarded by the Ministry of Defence to Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn Bhd earlier in August, is for 53 months and involves two Kasturi class corvettes.

PETALING JAYA: Shipbuilder Boustead Heavy Industries Corp Bhd (BHIC) has been awarded a contract worth RM703.82mil by the Defence Ministry to undertake the Service Life Extension Programme of Kasturi Class Corvettes.
