BHIC's CSR framework is guided by the principles outlined in GLC Transformation Program Silver Book.
Our guiding objective is to create sustainable benefits, generating value to our shareholders and other key stakeholders in the long term.

Satu Daerah Satu Industri
Satu Daerah Satu Industri” (SDSI) programme
In 2008 we also embarked on the “Satu Daerah Satu Industri” (SDSI) programme, an initiative of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development (MECD).
The SDSI programme involves training in the areas of entrepreneurship, motivation, strategic marketing and business planning. It assists in developing entrepreneurship skills among Small and Medium Industry (SMI) entrepreneurs.
It was conducted for 23 Bumiputera SMI entrepreneurs from the Manjung district in collaboration with Universiti Kuala Lumpur.

In addition, we provided on-the-job training for 65 undergraduates from various institutions and also for 88 Royal Malaysian Navy apprentices.
Summary
As a responsible corporate citizen, BHIC strives to ensure that our activities are aligned with the key national economic development policies, including ensuring Bumiputera equity share in the nation’s economic growth, raising the national capacity for knowledge and innovation and empowering youth for the future.
