On 18 June 2008 a seminar 'Sustaining Long Term Smart Partnership' was held with 150 participants, from various companies with the following objectives:
- To provide an avenue for vendors to participate with Boustead Naval Shipyard's management in addressing current issues and provide suggestions for its long term solutions.
- To provide a platform for the exchanges of ideas and information on the mechanism to develop vendors.
- To provide an avenue for Boustead Naval Shipyard to disseminate information on the company’s strategy on long term goals.
- To explore and share knowledge for common benefits.

On 24 July 2008 and 11th Nov 2008 a seminar with Affin Bank Bhd and SME Bank Seminar was organized at Orient Star Resort Lumut with the participation of more than 95 vendors. This session serves to emphasize our vendors on the various facilities and opportunities offered by the Banks to aspiring vendors.

On 29 to 30 Oct 2008, we organise a briefing and registration opportunities to vendors in Sabah and WP Labuan The initiative is to welcome participation by vendors in areas of Kota Kinabalu, Labuan, Tawau and Sandakan to participate in ship repairs activities in the region and where appropriate to form smart partnership for potential and capable vendors in related maritime industries.
